Things are still doing OK. Colin cut 3 teeth in one week and Eliot's cutting a molar, so things have gotten pretty hairy around here but apparently I can handle it. It's been rough though. My mom's planning on coming up to visit and help out this weekend, which is good because I really desperately need a break. I've started doing embroidery/needlepoint again (haven't done that in nearly 10 years) because it's easy to start and stop and I can tote my little sewing basket around the house easily. If I tried doing that w/ my knitting, I'd be constantly dropping stitches, which is such a pain in the ass. So it's a good little change in fiber work for me. 'Course, I don't do cutsie stitchery, but I'm sure you knew that already. No teddy bears here. Right now I'm working on quotes and sayings that just make me giggle, like "Babies suck." Ha!
Eliot's vocab is improving daily and he's starting to put words together into short sentences. Still not voicing much, but more than before so I think he'll be just fine. Yesterday we had rice cakes with snack, and he called them "popcorn cookies" which was too cute. The way he signs is adorable in my opinion, the first time he signs a new word he's all shy about it, and then when he knows he's got it down there's just no stopping him.
He also has signed "change diaper" and "change me" which are technically short sentences (verb/object) so he's right on track in that dept.
Colin's doing fine now that his teeth have given him a break. He's rockin' and rollin' all over the floor now, and nothing makes him happier than just letting him roll around and play. Makes it a bit easier for me, which is a welcome break.
