I never did get around to thanking my awesome bro and sis in laws for the cool giftmas presents. THANK YOU Matt & Racheal! I love them! I'm a total butt for forgetting to say anything.
One of those gifts was a sign language book, which I try to read at least once a day. I'm trying to get through a lesson a week, but that doesn't always work out. But it's really easy to understand and works much better than rote memorization. And Eliot's ASL is improving -- I would have to say about half his language is voiced and the other half signed. That is considered normal for his age in a bilingual household (and I can't believe we're actually considered bilingual now, but it's true). I'm not only proud of him, but of myself. It's not easy -- I'm basically learning
and teaching a new language while raising two kids under two. I'm not sure how I'm doing that, but I am!
And here's a couple obligatory pix:

And thank you to my mom in law, who made us some awesome fleece blankets (Eliot's wrapped in one in the pic above). Now that it's gotten really cold down here, we use them every day.

Apparently I'm not the only one who was totally blown away by that t-shirt. My boyfriend and I both said 'wish we had those' when our kids were little. I guess we could make one for the grandkids soon.
You know how I feel like I'm just a step ahead of you in raising 2 sons? I just want you to know that my youngest purchased his first car last weekend... and within an hour it was totalled. No one hurt. He was only going 30 mph - hit some ice. It's one big adventure after another! How cute! I LOL'd at the t-shirt.
